Some of the most famous K-Pop Girlgroups that debuted in 2014 are Red Velvet, Mamamoo, Lovelyz, Sonamoo and LABOUM. Red Velvet have released 2 studio albums and 10 EPs and have a career with numerous awards, same for Mamamoo, which is the first girl group created by Kim Dohoon, a famous K-Pop producer. Lovelyz had a respectable 7-year career with 13 releases, and Sonamoo disbanded after only 7 releases due to company problems (read: TS Entertainment legal issuses). LABOUM are still active after 4 of their members signed with another company, and they had some sudden success with the song Journey to Atlantis. It is also noteworthy that Minx debuted in 2015, but they redebuted as Dreamcatcher in 2017.
