Bang Yongguk was born in Incheon, South Korea. He is the leader of B.A.P.

Before debuting with B.A.P, Yongguk was a member of underground Hip-Hop group Soul Connection, then known as Jepp Blackman. In TS Entertainment, he was featured in Song Jieun‘s Going Crazy, and he also released the single I Remember featuring Beast’s (and then Highlight’s) Yang Yoseob.

He and Zelo released as a sub-unit the single Never Give Up, months before the debut of B.A.P.

He debuted with B.A.P in January 2012.

He didn’t participate in the comeback schedules of the single Skydive on October 2015 because of anxiety disorders. He returned in the group promotions 5 months later, when B.A.P released the song Wake Me Up.
