K-Pop Enlistment and Discharge Dates

In this table you can see some of the K-Pop idols that are currently serving their mandatory military service, and their expected discharge date.

• EXO‘s Kai enlist date is May 11, 2023.
• GOT7‘s Jinyoung enlisted on May 8, 2023.

• MONSTA X’s Minhyuk enlisted on April 4, 2023.
• BTS’ Jin enlisted on December 13, 2022.
• VICTON‘s Han Seungwoo enlisted in July 2021.
• SHINEE‘s Taemin enlisted on May 31, 2021.
• Teen Top‘s C.A.P will enlist in the military on May 10, 2021.
• D1CE‘s Jo Yonggeun enlisted in the military on May 6, 2021.
• EXO Baekhyun enlisted on May 6, 2021 (on his birthday), he will serve in the army 21 months as a public service worker.
• EXO Chanyeol enlisted on March 29, 2021.
• INFINITE‘s L enlisted on February 22, 2021.
• Pentagon‘s Hui enlisted on February 18, 2021.
• HOTSHOT‘s Yoonsan enlisted on February 23, 2021.
• EXO Suho enlisted on May 14, 2020.
• BTOB‘s Hyunsik and Sungjae, and PENTAGON‘s Jinho enlisted in the military on May 11, 2020.
• EXO‘s D.O was discharged on January 25, 2020.

See the kpop military enlistment table below. Discharge dates are aproximate, and edited when there is confirmation of the exact date. If you see any idols missing or any mistakes in the discharge dates, please comment.

Also note that: An usual practice is to leave the leave days for the end of the term, and then to come back to the army for a few days. Due to the Covid-19 situation, they “discharge” the soldiers without the need for them to come back, in order to avoid unnecessary quarantines and covid19 tests. For example, VIXX’s N was discharged on August 27, 2020 instead of October 7, 2020.

Active Duty soldiers serve 18 months, Public Service workers serve 21 months.
